So 67 of ye have announced yer attendance this Friday, eh? TOTALLY AWESOME!
I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank @GreystoneBar for their continuing hospitality and charm. Also, I’d like to thank Foster’s Group for hosting our Wine Appreciation Night on the 22nd of July. It was fantastic fun!
Finally, I’ve fixed the calendar in the sidebar to an embedded one. The previous plug-in was showing incorrect dates, but this one should be fine. Leave a comment here if there’s anything wrong.

Fancy yourself a little knowledgeable on the finer drops? Or don’t know your rose from a pinot noir? Not to worry! We’re here to help.
The BTUB Wine Night is on Wednesday, July 22nd. Greystone Bar and Cellar has so kindly arranged for a representative from Foster’s Group to be present on the night for presentation and explanation of the secret wines yet-to-be-revealed. We’ll have you knowing how to choose a good wine in no time at all.
Cheese and nibbles will be provided along with sauvignon blanc, riesling, chardonnay, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and pinot noir samples from Foster’s Group. Quite the selection, and these will even be available from the Greystone Cellar for purchase if you’d wish to show off your learned knowledge at home.

Hi, everyone! Just a few reminders regarding the June pub night this coming Friday:
- Our venue will not be the Ship Inn as previously done. We have gone with Greystone Bar and Cellar across from the iMax cinema in Southbank. They have reserved a space for us and even lined up some complimentary food! There’s even salsa dancing on the street there from 8pm. Cool, huh?
- Our friends @thelovebuckles have a show on from 11pm at The Music Kafe in West End. We will not be offended if you wish to leave for an hour or so to see tweeps @lovebuckler, @Aaron_Perkins and @pressdarling belt out some killer tunes. These pub nights are of adventures anyway, you all know that!
- Also, it’s getting chilly in Brisbane lately and there may be a spot of rain about. Make sure you bring your coat!
Lastly, if you are hosting an event for the Brisbane Twitter community, do let us know the details so that we may add it to the Google calendar, which is now showing the lastest entries on the BTUB website sidebar.

After being away from it for so long BTUB is getting together once more at The Ship Inn in Southbank. Expect a night of great conversation and drinks with your fellow tweeps.
Location: The Ship Inn, Cnr Sidon & Stanley Sts, Southbank (at the south end of the Goodwill Bridge)
Time: From 6:00pm until… well… some people continue on until 6:00am!
